Music, MIDI and instruments

How notes are played

Each bounce plays the next note of your melody. When the melody runs out it starts again. Notes that start at the same moment form a chord and play together on a single bounce. Harder hits play slightly louder.

The piano roll

Click to add a note, drag to move or resize it, and press Delete to remove the selected note. Use the arrow keys to nudge a selected note.

Importing and exporting MIDI

Import a .mid file to use its notes. If the file has several tracks, choose which one drives the loop. You can export your melody as a MIDI file too.

Instruments

Choose from trumpet, piano, synth, 8-bit, pluck, xylophone, music box, guitar and saxophone. You can switch while the loop is playing.

A backing track

Upload an mp3 or wav to play underneath the notes. Set its offset and volume to line it up. Only use audio you have the right to publish.
